Dr Laura Nicolì

Laura Nicolì is Research Fellow at the “Fondazione 1563 per l’Arte e la Cultura” in partnership with the Voltaire Foundation.

In 2019-2020 she has been Postdoctoral Fellow at the Voltaire Foundation in association with the LabEx OBVIL at Sorbonne Université, after being Early Career Fellow at the Lichtenberg-Kolleg in Göttingen (2017-2019) and at the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Storici in Naples (2016-2017). Her research focuses on eighteenth-century history of philosophy and history of ideas, especially French and Scottish philosophy of religion. She is completing a monograph on the debate on polytheism and pagan religions in Enlightenment France, while working on the born-digital critical edition of Paul-Henri Thiry d’Holbach’s La Contagion sacrée, ou Histoire naturelle de la superstition (1768).
