Job opportunity: Astra Foundation Research Fellow in Manuscript Studies at the VF

We are delighted to invite applications for the Astra Foundation Research Fellow in Manuscript Studies!
We seek a Research Fellow who will produce an authoritative online catalogue of Voltaire manuscripts that will replace existing printed lists, will include accurate and detailed descriptions, and will link to the many pertinent collections worldwide. Working with specialist researchers, librarians and the Voltaire Foundation’s digital consultant, the Research Fellow will establish the data model for the catalogue, identifying fields for inclusion, implementing best practice in manuscript cataloguing, and considering how best to link the catalogue to a wider digital edition of Voltaire’s work. In consultation with the Voltaire Foundation’s Senior Research Editor (assisted by the co-directors of the Voltaire Lab), the Research Fellow will determine the best way of populating the database and will implement the agreed plan.

The role is fixed-term for 12 months.
